One of the major museums focusing on ancient art in China, Shanghai Museum gathers around 120,000 precious antiques, art works and exhibits, in particular known for its collection of bronze ware, ceramics, calligraphies and paintings. The ground floor encompasses antique bronze wares and sculptures; the 2nd floor presents antique ceramics; the 3rd floor exhibits historical calligraphies, seals and paintings; and the 4th floor features minority arts and crafts, historical coins, antique furniture in Ming and Qing Dynasties and antique jade creations.
